CoinDesk reported that the Algorand Foundation has formed a Humanitarian Payments Committee, with members including Circle, Worldpay Global, Mercy Corps Ventures, UN Development, and HesabPay, with the aim of using blockchain technology to completely transform aid delivery. The committee's goal is to provide recommendations to the United Nations, institutions, and non-governmental organizations on using blockchain for aid payments to ensure secure, transparent, and traceable delivery. In addition, they will develop blockchain-based cash program roadmaps in impoverished areas.
