gate News bot message, Bloomberg reported that US President Trump announced he is considering a temporary tariff exemption policy for imported cars and parts. The policy aims to provide car manufacturers with more time to establish production lines in the United States.

Currently, imported complete vehicles are subject to a 25% tariff, and the tariff on parts will be implemented starting May 3. The Trump administration had previously implemented temporary tariff exemptions for some electronic products.
