More than 40 counterfeit encryption wallet extensions found in the Firefox browser store.

According to Gate News bot, Wu Shuo reported that Slow Fog's Chief Information Security Officer 23pds posted on Twitter that the security company Koi revealed the existence of over 40 fake encryption wallet extensions in the official Firefox browser add-on store. These fraudulent extensions impersonate mainstream wallets such as MetaMask and Coinbase Wallet.

It is understood that these malicious plugins steal users' mnemonic phrases by embedding event listener code and transmit the data to the attackers' servers.
