Huaxia Fund Hong Kong: Suggest exploring the mechanism of digital asset passage to allow mainland accredited investors to invest in Hong Kong virtual asset ETFs.

Odaily Planet Daily News The current director of digital asset management and family wealth management at Huaxia Fund (Hong Kong), Zhu Haokang, stated that by the end of 2024, the size of the SpotBTC ETF in Hong Kong was $400 million, significantly smaller than the $105.4 billion in the United States. Hong Kong can explore the mechanism of digital asset connectivity with the mainland, allowing mainland accredited investors to invest in Hong Kong's virtual asset ETFs and security token tokens. The digital asset connectivity can learn from the Hong Kong Stock Connect model, setting annual investment quotas (such as RMB 5 billion) and requiring investors to meet admission thresholds through asset size or risk assessment tests. To prevent excessive speculation, annual investment limits are set for accredited investors (such as RMB 100,000). Setting investor admission thresholds requires investors to have a certain scale of financial assets (such as RMB 1 million) or pass an encryption asset risk assessment test. (Hong Kong Wen Wei Po)
