Bhutan plans to develop green mining, investing in cryptocurrencies has made "millions of dollars"

According to Reuters, two senior Bhutanese officials revealed that the country has made millions of dollars by investing in cryptocurrencies in recent years, and has used some of the proceeds to pay government employees for two years. Bhutan is using 100% hydroelectric power for green cryptocurrency mining, and officials are evaluating whether to sell these "green coins" to large corporations that need to meet ESG (environmental, social, and governance) goals to promote green finance.
