Is the recovery of Bitcoin just the beginning?

In the past 30 days, Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) has increased by more than 15%. This is a significant recovery, especially considering the unstable economic situation related to tariffs and the decline of Bitcoin earlier this year. At times, it seemed that Bitcoin could fall below the 70,000 dollar mark. Now, the price is nearly reaching 100,000 dollars. And that could just be the beginning. Here is a deeper look at four bullish price predictions for Bitcoin. Bitcoin at 200,000 dollars At the beginning of the year, the excitement in the cryptocurrency market led many investors to predict that Bitcoin could double in price by the end of 2025. For example, in January, the investment firm Bernstein published a $200,000 price forecast for Bitcoin. And the company doubled down on that price forecast, even as the price of Bitcoin plummeted in February and March. There are several key components of this 200,000-dollar price forecast. The main factor is institutional investment, measured by the amount of money flowing into Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds (ETF). Over 100 billion dollars have flowed into these ETFs, and the current thinking is that the pace of money flow could actually accelerate. At the same time, Bernstein describes a new golden era for cryptocurrency, driven by pro-cryptocurrency policies and support for Bitcoin from President Donald Trump. Significant strides have been made -- such as the establishment of a new strategic Bitcoin reserve fund. And many other advancements are still underway, such as a new comprehensive regulatory framework for the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin at the level of 700,000 dollars At the World Economic Forum in January, BlackRock's CEO, Larry Fink, garnered attention by claiming that Bitcoin could ultimately reach a price target of $700,000. As BlackRock is the company behind the largest and most successful spot Bitcoin ETF -- iShares Bitcoin Trust (NASDAQ: IBIT) -- it is worth listening to what he has to say. According to Fink, the key to Bitcoin soaring to $700,000 is a higher asset allocation from large institutional investors into cryptocurrencies. He cited national investment funds, which may be considering increasing their portfolio allocation to Bitcoin. If large investors decide to raise their allocation to 5%, that is when the price of Bitcoin could really take off. Bitcoin at 2.4 million dollars Now we are entering a truly rare atmosphere, with a price prediction of over 1 million dollars. It can be said that the most famous price prediction of 1 million dollars comes from Cathie Wood of Ark Invest. Since that prediction, she has continued to raise that price target, from 1 million dollars to 1.48 million dollars, then from 1.48 million dollars to 2.4 million dollars. That's an incredible price target, but the math behind it is actually effective. Every year, Ark Invest publishes its "Big Ideas" report, and in each report, there is a detailed analysis of how the company arrives at its Bitcoin valuation. The valuation model focuses on six specific areas that Bitcoin is starting to attract attention. Like the two other price forecasts above, this forecast from Ark Invest also focuses on institutional adoption of Bitcoin. In a down case, these investors will only allocate 1% of their money to Bitcoin. In a base case, they will allocate 2.5%. And in a bull case -- where Bitcoin skyrockets to 2.4 million dollars -- that allocation increases to 6.5%. The logic here is very simple: The more investors allocate to Bitcoin, the higher the price of Bitcoin will rise. Bitcoin is at 10 million dollars Do you think 1 million dollars is an absurdly high price target? How about 10 million dollars? According to Michael Saylor, the founder and CEO of Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, Bitcoin is on track to reach the milestone of 10 million dollars. In fact, last November, he suggested that Bitcoin could actually reach 13 million dollars by 2045. With a price of 10 million dollars, Bitcoin would have a total market capitalization of about 200 trillion dollars. In comparison, the current total market capitalization of gold is about 20 trillion dollars. Therefore, we may be talking about Bitcoin becoming the most valuable asset in the world and not even coming close. You determine the likelihood of this scenario, but you must acknowledge Saylor's contribution for proving his prediction by purchasing Bitcoin in the real world. Strategy currently is the largest Bitcoin-holding company in the world, with 553,555 Bitcoin on its balance sheet. At the current price, that amount is worth 52 billion dollars. What is the most likely price trajectory for Bitcoin? Price forecasts can vary significantly, depending on the factors that forecasters consider most important. Just adjusting a few variables can lead to some incredible future price predictions. The big question in the short term is how Bitcoin will hold up under the weight of global tariffs. Ultimately, if money flows into Bitcoin from investors seeking a long-term store of value, some of the more peculiar bullish price targets may become much closer to reality than many think.
