Statement from Multichain

A statement came from the Multichain team, which bridges cryptocurrencies and NFTs in different blockchain networks. According to the statements made by the Multichain team;
On May 21, 2023, Multichain CEO Zhaojun was taken from his home by the Chinese police and has since been cut off from the Multichain team. Later, the Multichain team contacted the MPC operators and learned that the MPC operational access keys were revoked. The team realized that all servers were running under Zhaojun's personal cloud server account and the team was unable to access these accounts.
Multichain CEO Zhaojun's Sister Also Detained!
Suspecting the events, the team contacted Zhaojun's family and learned that all computers, phones, hardware wallets were confiscated by the police. On June 4, 2023, Zhaojun's family is able to somehow log into the cloud server platform using the history information from the home computer. However, user assets locked to MPC addresses on July 7, 2023 are abnormally transferred to unknown addresses. Suspecting these transfers, Zhaojun's sister transfers the remaining user assets to addresses she manages. However, on July 13, 2023, Zhaojun's sister is also detained.
After this briefing, the Multichain team called on users not to use the Multichain service.
