1.Which cryptocurrencies can be used as collateral or borrowable assets in margin trading?
Gate margin trading supports BTC, ETH, USDT and more than 500 cryptocurrencies. For the complete list, please refer to Gate Coin Borrowing Info.

2.Are there any fees for margin trading?
Gate margin trading will incur trading fees (same as spot trading), interest and liquidation fees. For detailed rules, please refer to Gate Trading Fee.

3.What is the interest rate for margin trading?
The interest rate is dynamic and updated hourly based on market loan demands. Daily Borrowing Rate (Floating) = Hourly Lending Rate x 24 + (Hourly Lending Rate x 24 x Service Fee Rate).
The service rate varies based on your VIP level. For detailed rules, please refer to the Gate Coin Borrowing Info and Gate Trading Fee.

4.How to calculate the interest for margin trading?
Interest is calculated at every hour on the hour and less than one hour will be calculated as one hour. If you have no outstanding loan on the hour, there will be no interest.

5.Under what circumstances will I receive a risk notification for margin trading?
(1) For 3-5x leverage
When the risk rate of your isolated margin account is ≤130%, Gate will send you with emails, direct messages, or APP push notifications to remind you to add collateral to prevent the forced liquidation; When the risk rate is ≤110%, you will be informed that your position has been liquidated.
(2) For 10x leverage
When the risk rate of your isolated margin account is ≤110%, Gate will send you with emails, direct messages, or APP push notifications to remind you to add collateral to prevent the forced liquidation; When the risk rate is ≤105%, you will be informed that your position has been liquidated.

6.What is the Liquidation Fee?
After liquidation is triggered, your margin will be used to repay the outstanding loan. The system will charge 2% of your repayment as the liquidation fee.

7.What happens if I still have outstanding loans after liquidation?
If there is still outstanding loan after the margin has been used to repay the loan, Gate will reserve the right to claim compensation from you.

8.Where can I check liquidation history?
Please click on Order → Isolated Margin Orders → Order History/Trade History to check liquidation history.

9.Where can I check loan and repayment history?
Please click on Wallet → Isolated Margin → Loan Management to check loan and repayment history.

10.Can I use a Sub-account for margin trading?
Yes, sub-account is supported. Please refer to the margin trading API document.
