South Korean President Lee Jae-myung calls for measures to curb inflation.

According to Yonhap News Agency, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung instructed the government on Monday to come up with countermeasures to curb prices in order to reduce the economic burden on the people. Lee Jae-myung made the above remarks at the second meeting on emergency economic measures held at the Blue House on the same day to discuss the additional revised budget in response to sluggish domestic demand. "Since the inflation problem has caused too much suffering to the people, I want you to assess the current situation and prepare possible measures," he said. Lee Jae-myung also expressed concern about the recent rise in the price of daily necessities such as instant noodles and urged relevant departments to formulate price control measures.
