The Bank of Japan's survey shows that wage trends may not be optimistic.

On July 14, Jin10 reported that major companies in Japan have announced significant salary increases this year, but a survey by the Bank of Japan shows that this trend does not seem to apply to all households. In a survey conducted in June, the percentage of households reporting a decrease in income compared to a year ago rose from 27.7% in March to 30.6%. This indicates that the pace of wage growth remains uneven, depending on the size and type of company they work for. Persistent inflation is also likely causing more headaches. About 61% of respondents indicated that their living conditions have worsened over the past year, up from 55.9% in the last survey.
