France recently reported 30 locally transmitted cases of Chikungunya.
Jin10 Data, July 17th - The French Public Health Agency released a statement on the 16th, saying that from May 1st to July 15th this year, France has confirmed 12 local transmission events of chikungunya fever, with a total of 30 reported cases. Additionally, 1 case of locally transmitted dengue fever has also been identified. The statement noted that these mosquito-borne diseases have affected several previously high-risk southern regions and have also spread for the first time to the Grand Est region and the new Aquitaine region in the southwest. Data indicates that the risk of these viruses spreading in mainland France is very high, and more cases may be discovered in the future.
