European Central Bank: European wage pressures will significantly cool down until next year.

The wage tracking report released by the European Central Bank on Wednesday predicts that wages will grow at an annual rate of 1.7% in the first quarter of 2026, far below the peak of 5.2% reached at the end of 2024. The European Central Bank stated in a statement that this declining trend reflects the impact of "large one-time payments made in 2024 not occurring in 2025, as well as the characteristic of some industries front-loading wage growth in 2024."
