Powell has long prepared the draft on the issue of rate cuts in September

On August 1st, Jinshi Data reported that neither the Fed FOMC statement nor Chairman Powell's prepared opening remarks provided forward guidance. Then, when answering the first question from reporters, Powell flipped to a tag in his script and began reading his prepared answer to the question of whether interest rates will drop in September: "(The Fed) may discuss the issue of dropping Intrerest Rate policy at its next meeting in September at the earliest. We are approaching the point of appropriate Intrerest Rate drop policy, but we have not reached that point yet."
