Sources say Israeli forces assassinated 5 senior Hamas officials in Gaza tunnels.
On August 3, Hamas sources said that the Israel Defense Forces recently assassinated two Hamas Politburo leaders and three Qassam Brigade military commanders in an underground tunnel in the Gaza Strip. Among them, the two Hamas political leaders are Mushtaha and Sirajuddin. It is understood that Mushtaha, who is in charge of the finances of the Hamas Politburo, is a close friend of Hamas leader Sinwar and is seen as one of the most hawkish members of the armed group. Sirajuddin has served in the Hamas Politburo since 2021 and is responsible for the internal security of the Gaza Strip.
