Train car hazardous chemical leak prompts evacuation of some local residents in Ohio, USA.
On September 24, local time, residents of Cleves and Whitewater towns in Ohio, USA were urgently evacuated due to a hazardous chemical leak from a train car. According to an official from the Hamilton County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency, the leak was caused by a loose valve on the train car. Informed officials stated that the leaked substance is styrene. Styrene is a toxic and flammable chemical that can cause headaches, nausea, and respiratory problems.
