Golden Ten Data reported on May 3 that the U.S. dollar index fell on the 2nd. The dollar index, which measures the greenback against a basket of six major currencies, fell 0.22% on the day to settle at 100.029 at the end of the session. At the end of the New York session, the euro was worth $1.1300, up from $1.1286 in the previous session, and the pound was worth $1.3274, down from $1.3278 in the previous session. The U.S. dollar was worth 145.03 yen, down from 145.68 yen in the previous session, the U.S. dollar was worth 0.8271 Swiss francs, down from 0.8316 Swiss francs in the previous session, the U.S. dollar was worth 1.3813 Canadian dollars, down from 1.3848 Canadian dollars in the previous session, and the U.S. dollar was worth 9.6584 Swedish kronor, down from 9.7566 Swedish kronor in the previous session.
